Mom is a beautiful woman, on the outside and even more beautiful on the inside.

Those she loved naturally came first. Her children were her most precious possession.

When we took the bus, which stopped just behind the corner at the intersection, Mom would always wait until when she saw the bus go by. Then she knew we were safely on the bus and she could head for home.

Mom was a friend in addition to being "mom. Never did I feel that I couldn't say or confide something to her. Always she would listen and comfort me when I was at a loss for words.

Sometimes grief comes in big waves and I can't see it anymore. Sometimes I feel her close by, looking over my shoulder with me.

On the day Mom received her eternal resting place, there were hundreds of ladybugs on our wall. I had never seen anything like that before. The priest was able to tell us then that a ladybug is a sign of the presence of the deceased. In our house there were more than a hundred of them!

From that moment I knew we were not alone. Even when I am at a loss for words, she is there and she will always be there.
